Marina Verpakhovskaia

Marina Verpakhovskaia is Toronto based artist who was born in Russia.
She graduated from Central School of Fine Arts, the University of Design (Degree: BA in Art, Design), post-graduate studying in Siberian Culture Centre.

Professional Artist, Costume Designer working in sphere of Painting, Applied Arts, Theatrical Costumes, Mascots, and Illustration. Professional Art Teacher and Craft Instructor. Participated in regional and international exhibitions, private and public galleries. The works acquired by private collections in Canada, US, England, Russia, China, Israel, and Germany.

Work experience in designing unique historical, folk, and theatrical art works, costumes and garments for comprehensive cultural shows and festivals in cooperation with theatres, cultural, and fashion centers, TV programs, etc.

"Over the years the main source of my inspiration came from the essential things in life like people, nature and animals. Those factors are very important to me because I can relate, feel and learn from them. My art works reflect that and I think that is why so many people say they relate to my paintings. In return I feel very fulfilled when my art works find their way into the souls of their viewers."
